Circa 1920s Gibson
Dominie Putter

This round-back, mallet-style putter was made by the Wm. Gibson Co. of Kinghorn, Scotland in the sometime in the 1910s/early 1920s and features a very comfortable lie angle and swing weight. I lean toward the earlier date on this particular club because of the 10 degrees of loft, an indicator that it was made to help putts roll better on the inconsistent greens of the early 20th century.

In better condition, this particular model would be collectible but in its pitted state, it’s better for the golf course. If you’re struggling with a blade putter, this early mallet-style might be just what you need to boost your confidence over putts.
