Circa 1920s Tom Stewart
Mashie Niblick

This line-faced club made by Tom Stewart of St. Andrews in the late 1920s is a versatile mashie niblick. With 47 degrees of loft and a wider sole, this club can function as both a high-lofted mashie for full-swings as well as a niblick for short chips and rescue situations. Skilled players may even be able to to open up the face and use the sole effectively for a flop shot. In short, if you’re looking for a minimalist set up and already have a higher lofted mashie in your bag (36-40 degrees), adding this club to your bag will eliminate the need for a dedicated niblick.

Tom Stewart was considered one of the best cleekmakers in the hickory era, and made heads that were played by some of the greatest golfers of all-time including Harry Vardon, Francis Ouimet and Bobby Jones.

The club has been fully refurbished for play including head reset with epoxy, repinning with a steel pin, shaft inspection and reconditioning and new grip and whipping.
